Questions
Before you message
What happens in the first session?
The first session is a conversation. I ask questions to understand what brings the two of you in and what each of you is hoping for. My role is not to take sides or hand down a verdict, it is to help you hear each other.
Do we both have to come?
Yes. Couples sessions are for both partners together. I work with married and unmarried couples, all relationship structures, long-term and new.
Can we have couples sessions online?
Couples counselling is in person only, at the Blouberg Therapy Centre in Table View.
Will my medical aid cover sessions?
Cover for registered counsellors is limited and varies by scheme and plan. It is worth checking your plan before booking. I run a cash practice: you pay on the day and receive a receipt to submit.
Whenever you are ready. You do not need it worked out first.
