Some experiences sit deeper than talking can reach.

You may have talked things through before, helpfully, and still found that something stayed stuck.

Maybe this is you

What Brainspotting is

Brainspotting is a trauma-informed approach that works with the brain, body and nervous system together to help process overwhelming experiences and stored stress. It is informed by an understanding of the nervous system, including ideas from Polyvagal theory. Polyvagal theory is widely used in trauma-informed practice and is best described as a useful lens rather than settled neuroscience, which is how I hold it here.

A point of focus

A point of focus

We find a point in your field of vision that connects to what you are working with. Where you look can help the brain reach it.

Deeper than talking

Some experiences are held below words, in the body and nervous system. Brainspotting works at that deeper layer, not just the surface.

A settling, grounded calm

A settling, grounded calm

In a safe, unhurried space, the nervous system can begin to settle. People often notice a steadier, more grounded calm.

What people often notice

More calm and grounding

A sense of emotional release

Steadier focus

More capacity for daily life, work and relationships

These are common experiences, not guaranteed outcomes, and the work is different for everyone.

How sessions work

Brainspotting is offered within a warm, confidential, trauma-informed space focused on safety and settling. Not every session involves it. It is one approach I draw on where it suits the person and the work.
